Reorder PDF pages

Scanning a double-sided document on a single-sided scanner, or merging files in the wrong order, leaves you with pages that are all there but out of sequence. Reordering fixes that without touching the content of any page.

How do I set the new order?

Write the new order as a list of current page numbers. For a five-page file, 1,3,2,4,5 swaps pages 2 and 3. Ranges work too: 5-8,1-4 moves the last four pages to the front. Page numbers mean position in the file, counting from 1.

You do not have to list every page. Pages you leave out are added after the ones you listed, in their original order, so 4,1 on a six-page file gives 4, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. If you want the unlisted pages gone instead, tick the option to drop them. Listing a page twice puts it in twice, which is a quick way to duplicate a signature sheet.

To flip the whole document back to front, tick reverse instead of typing an order.

Is quality affected?

No. Pages are moved, not redrawn. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution and the file size stays about the same. Bookmarks and internal links may point to the old positions or be dropped, so check them if your document relies on them.

Are my files uploaded?

On this page the reordering happens in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to any server, so the file never leaves your device.

What are the limits?

Free covers PDFs up to 50 MB, as often as you like. Pro covers files up to 500 MB. When many files arrive with the same fault, for example every scan has the back cover first, one reorder step in the pipeline builder corrects the set; you can try a pipeline on up to 3 files for free.

How to reorder PDF pages

1. Drop your PDF onto the drop zone.
2. Type the new page order, for example 3,1,2,4-10.
3. Click Reorder.
4. Download the rearranged PDF and check the first few pages.
